Message invoking that tread worn bar graph. It should be no surprise to anyone that a manifold tested with larger valves will flow more than a manifold tested on a stock head. The data could have been "normed" to correct for this variable, but you plot the raw scores.

You even admit that my manifolds "likely flow better", but dismiss them because standard 15-yr old downpipes won't work on my new design. That is a separate issue whose merits could be discussed another day.

I have shown the highest respect for the work for all others who have made a contribution to the TT community. If you do a search, the most egregious of my remarks are that MS' manifolds look "too much like stock" and that it is not fair of him to keep "stringing people along" for another year when he talked about making a showing at ZCon in Aug of 2005.

My latest manifold version, redesigned to be a direct bolt up was just conceptual idea in February 2006 and was designed, tooled, cast, machined, and installed with my new dp's and actuator brackets on a tt.net member's car in Dallas in May...and you saw it. I enjoyed our exchange and thought we had established a mutual rapport despite our differences... perhaps not. I do however wish you could stick to the issue and refrain from unprofessional references to my work as "trial and error engineering shit".

I would ask that you be willing to back up your unsubstantiated remarks by encouraging Mr. Smith to volunteer one left manifold for flow testing. For all the unfair criticism of my work and to others on this forum who are interested in improving the performance of their cars, this is a modest request.

Thanks,
Jon Abeler, Abeler Automotive Engineering (AAE)
